“As I start my first week as WME’s new Chief Executive, I’m filled with a mix of excitement and nerves. It’s a challenging role in a challenging sector, but one I intend to embrace and grow with.
I will be incredibly proud to say I lead West Midlands Employers from day one and I am confident that we can redefine the organisation and its offering to the Region as I set to work on developing our new Strategic Plan for the period 2020 to 2025.
I’m no stranger to West Midlands Employers, but it is a fundamentally different organisation, with new people and new products and clients, than when I was last there. I will be spending time in my first 90 days really getting to understand the organisation and team, re-engaging with our client base and connecting with key stakeholders both nationally and regionally. I will share some reflections about my first 90 days and my objectives for the year ahead in my first newsletter in June.”
and wave goodbye..
After 24 years in leading roles at the Regional Employers Organisation, we’re saying goodbye to our Director, Colin Williams who is joining the ranks of the ‘semi-retired’ who are working in consultancy (including for WME). Speaking at his final meeting of the WME Management Board, Colin stated;
“I am delighted to hand over the reins to Rebecca who is very much the right person to drive WME forward, directing and motivating a resilient, hard-working and talented team who will only get stronger under new leadership and whom I have no doubt can look forward to a bright future”
